Sports Activities and Wellbeing: An Investigation of Experiences and Perspectives among 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade Students at The Hope School
World over, the need for focusing on student well-being has increased in the post-pandemic era. During COVID-19, students were bound within their homes and had no access to sports activities, and they were also socially restricted. Moreover, in Pakistan, there needs to be more work done to look at the well-being of students within schools in relation to the physical activities offered. Our study aimed to determine which structural improvements can be made to the physical activity lessons currently offered at the Hope School under the psychological, physical, and social dimensions of well-being. For this purpose, we gathered the experiences and perspectives of the students by conducting FGDs and surveys as well as semi-structured teacher interviews. The insights gathered from the students and teachers led us to present some structural changes to the physical activity lessons offered at the Hope School.
